The Threshold

There is a threshold before every consequential conversation.

Some conversations ask more of us than others. They carry weight. We think about them before they happen. We may rehearse what we want to say, worry about how it will be received, anticipate resistance, or simply recognize that how we show up will shape what happens next.

The space before the threshold is where preparation happens. It is an opportunity to get clear on what you want from the conversation, think intentionally about how you want to approach it, and consider what could throw you off course.

This is where I help: using the space before the threshold to prepare deliberately, so you are better equipped to stay present and navigate the conversation once it begins.

Then you cross the threshold, and preparation meets reality.

On the other side, presence is how you navigate the conversation you prepared for. It shapes how you listen, the questions you ask, the words you choose, and how you respond as the conversation unfolds.

You cannot script every conversation or know exactly where it will lead. But you can prepare in a way that helps you stay present once you are in it, clear on why you’re there and what you want from the conversation.

Prepare with intention. Navigate with presence.

Have a conversation you want to be ready for?

Preparation can change how you enter a conversation and how you navigate it once you are there.
